Thule Ambassador Ian Boswell Wins 321km Gravel Race With Thule Vital on his back
Last week, former WorldTour pro cyclist, Ian Boswell won the famous Unbound Gravel event in Kansas, United States. After a grueling 10 hours on the bike, over the 321km (200 mile) race course throughout central Kansas on gravel roads laced with sharp flint stones, Boswell broke away with another rider, Laurens ten Dam, from the lead pack only to sprint to the finish for the win.
Known around the world as a premier gravel race, formerly known as the Dirty Kanza, Unbound Gravel brings in the best road, mountain, and gravel riders looking to test their endurance on the exhausting course.
But what makes this win equally exciting is that Boswell rode the entire race with his trusted Thule Vital hydration pack. The unsupported race requires each rider to refill hydration and load up on nutrition at several aid stations along the course. With his Thule Vital along for every moment of the race, Boswell had all of his essentials on hand, while riding in (relative) comfort with his Thule Vital on his back. Boswell has been a great ambassador for Thule in the Americas over the past few years, sharing his adventures on two wheels on his Instagram, @ian_boswell, along with his favorite products from Thule including Thule RoundTrip bike cases and duffels, and bike racks like the new Thule Helium Platform.
In 2019, the most recent year for the race since 2020 was cancelled, two other WorldTour pros, Alex Howes and Lachlan Morton, both from the team EF Education First, came in together in third and fourth place also wearing the Thule Vital packs. All three riders offering a true testament to the excellent design of the popular hydration pack line from Thule.
