Thule Group employees come together to support the local community

For the past five years, Thule Group employees in Seymour have given back to the local community while competing in a friendly departmental competition. And while most employees are used to battling it out in a bike or a running race, the spirit of this competition was to raise money and purchase much-needed meals for local families in need. This year we supported more than 700 families in need.

With all of the proceeds and meals going to the ‘Spooner House’ in the neighboring town, Shelton, Connecticut, these resources are offered to support more than 700 families (!) in the area needing extra assistance around the holidays.

Due to the pandemic, the Spooner House requested some additional items to help local families, and with that, the cost per box went up +30%.  Despite the increase, we are happy to report that Thule Group employees donated 180 boxes from departments within Seymour and Milford! 

With contributions from every department, Thule Group is one of the largest contributors to the Spooner House by providing Thanksgiving Day meals to nearly 20% of their families in need this holiday season.
