Time to clean up the beach in Walnut Beach

On October 20-21, the Thule Group Eastern Distribution Center and our Seymour-based Supply team Chain, both in the US, participated in a cleanup of Walnut Beach in Milford, Connecticut, US. The campaign was done in partnership with the Milford Land Trust. Over 2 half-day day shifts, the teams were taught to identify and eliminate invasive “Mugweed”, as well as plant 4 Oak saplings that will hopefully thrive in their new home for generations to come. The Land Trust had Master Gardeners on site to help our teams learn.

This cleanup is part of an effort to get Thule Group’s Supply Chain, Operations, and Distribution teams more involved in community outreach. The feedback from the teams has been phenomenal, and Milford Land Trust was extremely appreciative, inviting us back for future outreach.

Walnut Beach is one of Connecticut’s most beautiful beaches and we are proud to help the conservation efforts of the community that gives us our home.
