Thule Group cleans nature in southern Sweden together with local sports associations

For the third year in a row, Thule Group have collaborated with the organization ‘Städa Sverige’ (Clean Sweden). The organization is a cooperation between Swedish sport associations to clean nature from littering.

We are happy to see that this year's engagement has grown and with several teams, from two geographical regions in south Sweden – both from Skåne, where the Thule Group HQ is located, and Småland, where Thule Group was founded in 1942.

Overall we are very happy with this year's outcome. Several 100 bags of trash were picked up and over 300 young athletes and leaders were engaged with one common goal, to clean our common nature. Everything from socks, cigarette butt-ends, glass bottles to whole bicycles were found and picked up.

- Our products facilitate and inspire people to live active lives, often in our common nature. But when more and more people hike, bike, camp and enjoy nature, the wear and tear on hiking trails and bike trails also increases. Unfortunately, litter is also increasing, says Kajsa von Geijer, Sustainability Director at Thule Group and continues. Our collaboration with Städa Sverige is in line with our own values. We should be able to enjoy nature and be active in it at the same time that we have to protect it and clean up after ourselves, concludes Kajsa.
