Project ‘Cleaning Sweden’ - an initiative to clean up the natural areas we all enjoy so much
With the number of participants in hiking, biking, and other outdoor activities soaring as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re also seeing an increase in wear and tear at Sweden’s most popular outdoor destinations. By partnering with “Cleaning Sweden,” Thule Group helps support the maintenance and clean-up for these beloved natural spaces. Last Saturday, Hillerstorp and Värnamo, Sweden, were the focus for the activities.
Thule Group just recently started supporting the organization “Cleaning Sweden,” a project that collaborates with youth sports associations throughout the country to clean up natural areas. Thule Group employees join together with these youth sports organizations to help maintain and beautify the natural spaces in their communities. For their commitment, the youth sports associations receive a monetary donation to support their activities.
Last Saturday, eight sports associations in Hillerstorp and the nearby town of Värnamo participated in the clean-up. Wearing yellow vests, protective gloves, and carrying garbage bags, children and their parents from the sports associations put together a fantastic effort in cleaning up these natural areas.
While supporting the maintenance and cleanup of the outdoors is of great importance to Thule Group, it’s also an honor to help youth and young people with disabilities live an active lifestyle through this crucial initiative.
