Biodiversity Policy

Biodiversity is a collective term for all the variation that exists between and within species and habitats on earth.

Biodiversity, in general, refers to three sub-levels:

• Genetic diversity is the genetic variation among individuals or populations within the same species.
• Species diversity is the variety of species within an ecosystem or area.
• Ecosystem diversity refers to the diversity of ecosystems within an area.
