Thule Group Seymour employees donate meals to local Thanksgiving food drive
Last week, employees at the Thule Group in Seymour, US, office donated a total of 116 Thanksgiving dinner boxes to the Spooner House, a local nonprofit organization that provides food, shelter, and support services to people in need. The boxes containing canned goods and other non-perishable food items will help feed 116 local families for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday.
Since 2013, the Thule Group in Seymour has partnered with the Spooner House in Shelton, Connecticut, USA, to fundraise and purchase meals for the community. And each year, the office employees turn the food drive into a competition to incentivize participation across all departments. This year, the Quality Department retained its 1st place spot by donating 32 dinners. Human Resources came in 2nd place with 9 boxes and Marketing in 3rd with 17 boxes (based on the ratio of meals donated by number of employees in the department).
On Friday morning, marketing team members packed up the Thule van with the boxes and delivered them to the Spooner House.
